1Hope Blanket Drive

Every winter, 1Hope provides blankets for orphaned and refugee children in South Africa. The Southern hemisphere winter is mid-year, so we gather blankets from January to March so we have them on hand and are able to distribute them when they are needed most – when night-time temperatures in South Africa can get below freezing…

If you are based internationally:

If your church, school, or business is interested in organizing a blanket collection, we would welcome that! You might want to suggest that $2 be given with every blanket to help cover the cost of shipping (this assumes packing blankets tightly).  

An alternative to shipping blankets is to make a donation of $10 that will enable 1Hope to buy a blanket in South Africa. You can donate at this link: www.1hope4africa.com/donation-information. Please designate your gift as for “1Hope Blanket Drive.”
