About Josh and Marda Mack

We will be ministering alongside Josh and Marda Mack in South Africa.

Josh holds a Master of Divinity degree from The Master’s Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Before serving as a missionary in South Africa, Josh pastored a church in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania for six years, and co-authored several books with his dad, Wayne Mack.

For their first 2 1/2 years in South Africa, Josh served as Associate pastor at Grace Fellowship Church in the eastern suburbs of Pretoria. The elders of Grace Fellowship recognized Josh’s gifts in outreach and his unique ability to minister across the numerous cultural lines in South Africa. In June 2009 they announced that Josh would lead the 3rd church plant out of Grace Fellowship: Living Hope Church in Sunnyside, inner-city Pretoria.

Josh and Marda have a particular burden for mercy ministries to the desperately needy. They have taken 3 orphans into their family and have developed relationships with many refugees in Pretoria whom they have been discipling and helping in practical ways. In March 2009, the Macks began 1Hope – a ministry to orphans and refugees in South Africa.

The Macks have been married since 1996 and have 8 children: Mckenna, Cambria, Caitlin, Bayley, Musi, Zanele, Lincoln, and Kennedy.

We are excited to be working with Josh and Marda! They have thought through church and mercy ministry thoroughly (biblically!), have huge hearts of compassion, and are living exemplary lives of sacrificial love. We count it a huge blessing to learn from them and help them further their ministry!
